Thornton Abbey Maize Maze
This exciting summer event, running from July to September, promises something for the whole family to enjoy.
We plant the maize in May and it grows through the summer, during which time the maize crop is cut out and made into a giant maze!
In the maze you will be challenged by quiz boards for adults and children, which will also help you navigate. We also have a look out bridge so you can get a great view of the maze! There is also a large open play area with maze games, a jumping pillow, wheely sledges, Nerf gun zone, crazy golf, children's ride on tractors and our super fun water pistol tractor ride! Again this year we will have two mazes at the maze, our main maze with lots of question boards and our mini maze for little legs!
So if you are looking for somewhere different and fun to take the children this summer, we challenge you to conquer the Thornton Abbey Maze!

Food and Beverage
Cold drinks, tea and coffee are usually available. Chocolate bars and crisps are also sold. This year we will hopefully have some hot food on sale too. We also have a good selection of ice lollies. Picnics are allowed.
Accessibility and Amenities
We welcome everyone at the maze, we now have three toilets, one with wide door access. Unfortunately we don't as yet have ramp access into the toilets. We also have a separate baby change room.
During dry weather the maze courtyard is accessible for wheelchair users, but most of it is a grass field there is limited hardstanding. The maze itself is probably not suitable for wheelchair users but it does depend on the type of wheelchair. There is also a side entrance so wheelchair users don't have to go through the shop.
Most of the attractions are disabled friendly and we are happy to help in whatever way we can to ensure you have a good day out.
